“Young Changemakers” – Live-Radioshow with young people from Georgia and Germany

From 19th – 25th March 2017 young people from Georgia and Germany gathered at the local radio station Radio F.R.E.I. in Erfurt/Germany to talk about misinformation in media and fake news. They learnt how to detect hoaxes and visited a local newspaper. But it was not only about theory, but more important about how to get active as citizen journalist. The participants learnt how to use audio recorders, how to ask tricky questions during an interview and how to edit the recorded sounds. After one productive week several radio pieces were produced and broadcasted during a live radio show at Radio F.R.E.I. You can listen to the show right here on Soundcloud.

But that is not all. In late April the German and Georgian participants will meet again in Tbilisi and hunt for new sounds, interesting stories and present them at the end of this week in public.

The whole project is supported in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. The participating organisations are Arbeit und Leben Thüringen, Youth Association DRONI and Radio F.R.E.I.

I am a blogger from Berlin, currently residing in Tbilisi and writing for the Rec Magazine. As a graduate from MA of European Studies I'm interested in political topics, European developments and especially in Eastern Europe. Georgia is a interesting country and I'm glad to spend some time here and to write about the experiences I will make here.
